Pharmacy Assistant Certificate Program (PA)

This foundational program introduces students to the role of a pharmacy assistant in community settings. Students will learn about the history and structure of pharmacy in Canada, the roles of the pharmacy team, and relevant legal and ethical standards. The program covers prescription components, drug classifications, dosage forms, medical terminology, billing procedures, inventory management, and communication in pharmacy practice. Emphasis is placed on safety, accuracy, cultural awareness, and patient confidentiality to prepare students for entry-level support roles.

About the Course

Start Dates:

Classes begin on the first and third Wednesday of every month

· Registration closes on Sunday at 6 p.m. for start dates.

· The program link is sent to students on Tuesdays by 6 p.m.(day before the start date).  

·  Students start their program on Wednesday.

Duration: 8 weeks

Format: This course is 100% online and asynchronous. There are no Zoom classes or in-person classes. Students just need to complete the eight assignments. The instructor will mark one assignment per week. Students cannot finish earlier than their end date.

Fees:

· Tuition: $ 950 (You can pay in 1 or 2 installments)

·  Application Fee: $300 (Non-refundable)

Admission Requirements:

  • Students must be 19 years or above
  • Students must provide one of the following proofs of English Language Proficiency:
    • International English Language Testing System (IELTS- Academic or General) Minimum overall score of 5.
    • Completion of English 11 with a Grade of “C” or higher at an accredited institution where English is the language of instruction.
    • Duolingo English Test- Minimum overall score of 95.
    • Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) Minimum overall score of 5.
    • Completion of one semester (12 credits) at an accredited institution where English is the language of instruction.
